How many more days?

A while ago I came up with a theory that looked deep in the heart and soul of human beings. It was an idea so perspective shattering it that is works on a vast majority of the people its tried on. The rest just don't realize consciously they are doing it.

The epiphany was that everyone was counting down the days to something. It can be anything, something as simple as Friday, or bigger like graduation.

People are always looking forward the the next event in their lives. It is what drives and motivates us all. We would not work if there weren't something to look forward to in the end.

As I have observed when people are asked, "So, how many more days?" They usually reply, "To what?" Don't give them a goal and the person will give you one, one they usually have the answer down to the exact day.

So tell me, "How many more days?"

Heh, I had a conversation with some girls from my concert band here tonight about it. We were sitting outside because we had a break before the concert and we talked about countdowns...one to how many days that she was moving, one for what was her last day at St. cloud, and me for what day I'm heading down to Missouri. Yay, interesting :-)
